8. Ohio Light Opera
The Ohio Light Opera was founded in 1979 as a cultural and educational endeavor by The College of Wooster. It is the only professional company in the United States devoted entirely to operetta and early musical theater, performing not only the complete Gilbert & Sullivan repertoire, but also reviving rarely performed American and European works of the 19th and early 20th centuries. 329 E.
