Grand Opening at Farmhouse Frocks

Donna's Premier Lodging - Tuesday, July 07, 2015

I recently had the pleasure of attending a grand opening for Farmhouse Frocks, a local store in nearby Millersburg.  They specialize in upcycled vintage and cottage style clothing ranging in size from 5-28.  Their mission is to empower woman of all sizes and in all walks of life.

It was amazing to see what creativity, hard work and faith can accomplish.  Lena Schlabach, shop owner, signed the papers to the new studio exactly one month to the day of her grand opening.  Her mantra of "More Faith the Fear" plus LOTS of hard work (she said they went through 32 gallons of paint!!) has most definitely paid off...from the moment I walked in to the moment I left I was mesmerized.  Beautifully displayed succulent planters, iron stone pieces, home decor, cowboy boots, jewelry, and of course her signature "frocks" captured my heart.  Schlabach has teamed up with a local interior designer, Restoration Details, and carries some wonderful hand painted furniture as well.

Also featured in this marvelous shop is Lyssa Ann Portraits.  Her studio is located in the back of Farmhouse Frocks and is absolutely beautiful!  Lots of natural lighting plus her amazing talent makes for a winning combination.

The next time you're in Amish Country, be sure to add a stop to Farmhouse Frocks and Lyssa Ann Portraits and be prepared to have your socks knocked off!  These amazing women have loads of talent and I'm sure you won't be able to leave without taking something special home with you.  Who knows...you might even decide to "Rock the Frock"!

I was at the ribbon cutting as well, it was beautifully awesome, as is my friend Lena. Congratulations to the entire "crew" at Farmhouse Frocks & Lyssa Ann Portraits. My closet is once again, well fed. ~Daphne at Just Enough Antiques~

What a delight. I read Lena's story on her Facebook page yesterday and it gave me a warm happy feeling. It's wonderful to see women of God fulfilling their purpose! If you haven't read it - make sure you check it out on her the Facebook page "Lena's Amish Granola".

This is one of my favorite stores! I heard they just opened a 2nd location in FL. I think that means I need to take a trip down south to visit!
